Our cocktails for mid-May till mid-June celebrate Spring and all it has to offer to the fullest. The Red Car Bar is bringing back requested & popular Manhattan & Old-Fashioned styles that were created by its talented bartenders.
For our Old-Fashioned style we are bringing back “Strawberry Fields” created by Leandro DiMonriva. This is a beautiful Old-Fashioned consisting of Plymouth Gin, angostura bitters, and a house-made strawberry lemon balm syrup.
For our Manhattan style we will be bring back Adi Kancharla’s “Irish Spring.” This March-inspired cocktail contains Jameson, Lillet Red, Licor 43, Bitterman’s Boston Bitters, Peychaud Bitters, and a Creme de Violet rinse.
Lastly our 1930′s style is Cole’s Mint Julep. This Julep is inspired by Cole’s bar menu from the 1930′s which added Rum to the Mint Julep. Our 1930′s creation is created by Brent Falco, and is a mix of Bourbon & Barcard, Fresh Mint, & a brown sugar cube served in a Mint Julep cup.
Come down and visit and ask your bartenders about our creations and how we were inspired.

The heart and lungs of Escalator Hill belong to singer-songwriter Antony Benedetti, whose subtle twang and frenzied strums make Escalator Hill an American anachronism. The band could be from anywhere, or any time; they would be at home playing beside Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson, Neutral Milk Hotel or the Arcade Fire. This timeless sound springs from Benedetti’s soul-on-his-sleeve spirit that pushes Escalator Hill past the superficiality of faux folk nostalgia acts.
Escalator Hill, best described as Orchestral Country-tinged Roots Rock, has made appearances at music festivals like the Hollywood Fringe Festival, played in acclaimed establishments like Fillmore Poster Room in San Francisco and The Echo in Los Angeles, and has actively toured California, Arizona, and Nevada. They are ranked #8 out of 300 LA artists in the folk rock web buzz genre on the Deli Magazine and their debut album, ‘Poplar Avenue’ was listed on Radio Free Silverlake’s Top 10 albums of 2011. Completing a October month-long residency at the Social Aid and Pleasure Club in Santa Monica, CA, they were also featured artists on Knockandrock.com-a web series highlighting independent songwriters and bands. Escalator Hill has a partnership with Itunes, Spotify, and Band Camp-offering a multitude of ways to listen.
