You heard me right. It’s been a short ten years since Golden Gopher opened it’s doors. Now ten years later we are throwing a party just for you…Well because ten years is a big deal. In our honor, we will be offering a few specials for you and yours including a Jameson Ice Luge, free shot at midnight, complimentary photo booth all night, a Special Golden Gopher cocktail, hors d’ oeuvres and cake and an extra special slide show of how we’ve grown through the years. So in short, join us and let’s celebrate!

In LA bar years, that’s like… 60 or something.
Pretty shocking the remake took this long:
Bask in the inviting new incarnation of Broadway Bar, Downtown’s two-story citadel of couch-and-patio flirtation from the owner of Seven Grand and Honeycut, now reopen. Here’s what’s changed, and what hasn’t.
Then: A sort of kitschy spread of patterned bordello wallpaper and well-worn carpet. It looked good for a while, then it started feeling a little… Reno casino past its prime.
Now: Beautiful leather sofas. Vintage brass sconces. Walls of sexy purple, black and midnight blue. It’s not a completely different place. It’s just… better. Read the rest here!
This coming Wednesday, June 18th, we will be hosting Judd Zusel from Bruichladdich. Judd will be tasting us on Bruichladdich’s legendary line of whiskies, some very rare and awesome juice. Do not miss this one.
A Welcome Punch will be served at 6:30pm, so come early and get a good seat. Please remember, your RSVP does not guarantee you a seat. Tastings/education will start when the room reaches capacity, or at 7pm SHARP, which ever comes first.
Those turned away may enjoy discounts on Bruichladdich with their paid-up membership card, and wait to meet with Judd at 8pm, in the main bar, immediately following the event.

Memberships in the Seven Grand Whiskey Society can be purchased at the bar, dues are $120 per year and allow you to bring a guest to any invite. Meetings have been very packed of late, please don’t be mad if you can’t get in. We are trying to keep this affordable and accessible for everyone. We have not raised dues in the 5 years I’ve been helping to curate, and we want to keep it that way.
First-timers can pay a $15 fee for admittance, space allowing.
Be sure to come check out our Happy Hour, it is definitely one of the best around, with $5 hand-made cocktails, and a great food menu delivered by Pellicola Pizza, just around the corner.
The Bar Jackalope is open 8pm to 1am, Sunday through Thursday nights, a unique sipping library to continue your whiskey education in. Come check it out! We also feature live jazz and blues for FREE on those nights, at 10pm.
