She’s Crafty: The Beer Chicks host the LA Craft Beer Crawl – The Rundown

May 3rd, 2012 — 7:18pm

For many Westsiders, Downtown LA might as well be wine country.

In a few Saturdays, Downtown becomes beer country.

Your tour guides will be The Beer Chicks, who have curated a range of craft brews for the sophomore edition of the Los Angeles Craft Beer Crawl, which promises to be bigger, better, and boozier than last year’s debut.

Beer lovers will be treated to unlimited samples of more than 50 different ales, ciders, and stouts across seven excellent Downtown bars, all within easy shuffling distance: Seven Grand, Golden Gopher, Las Perlas, Caña Rum Bar, Cole’s French Dip, Broadway Bar, and Casey’s Irish Pub.

This neighborhood pub stumble also features food-truck beer pairings hand selected by Evan Kleiman, executive chef at Angeli Caffe (and host of KCRW’s Good Food).

And it’s not just about feeling good. It’s about doing good: A portion of the proceeds go toward local nonprofit Heal the Bay.

So while there might not be a surefire cure for your hangover, at least you helped cure something.
